Jonio Terracotta Vase

Jonio is a handcrafted vase with a round cross-section and a perfectly cylindrical shape, available in two sizes with the same diameter but different heights. It is inspired by the column drums of Greek and Roman temples—that is, by each of the cylindrical blocks that made up the column shaft. Jonio is an Italian terracotta planter that stands as a powerful symbol of classicism: the grooves running along its entire height create soft chiaroscuro effects that, as the hours pass, lend the structure a dynamic quality and make it responsive to its surroundings. Particularly striking when used with trailing plants, Jonio is also suitable for small trees or shrubs of various shapes. Handcrafted, this designer planter is available in two different shades of body-stained terracotta and in two colored glazes.
